One Big Paella

Holy onomatopoeia Batman! I haven't posted anything in far too long! Been busy ya see......yeah I know, no-one will ever believe that line

I've just been lazy alright? Deal with it!

Anyways, this comic has been almost a month in the making because yes, I am lazy.

Last time my mum and dad came to visit in London (yes that's my dad in the omic, not Obi Wan Kenobi) we met up in Covent Garden for lunch and wanderings. Walking through the covered food market, we looked down into this big pit thing and whaddayaknowit?!? There's some Spanish fellas cooking a bloody HUGE Paella! I mean it, HUGE!! You could have set sail in the pan!! The conversation went pretty much exactly like that

I think I got away with it.....

BLOOD ON MY HANDS

Hello all. No comic but instead an illustration

Have been listening to The King Blues a lot lately. Absolutely fantastic band! Was listening to the album last week and had an idea of drawing a few pieces to illustrate their songs. The first of which is Blood On My Hands, a song about army recruitment and anti-war protests

Very proud of this piece (containing a whopping 30 individual characters) and it is now featured on the King Blues' MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/thekingblues

Had a really good bank holiday weekend. It's been sunny here in London Town so have been out and about exploring. The run-down:

SATURDAY- Went into London and sat in Trafalgar Square doing some sketching and finishing off this here illustration. Then went for a little walk. I say little walk. I must have been aimlessly wandering for about 3 hours. Wandered through Soho and found Carnaby Street and then stumbled across Old Bond Street and all the fancy bastard shops.

SUNDAY- Planned on going to Banksy's "Cans Festival" by Waterloo Station. Got the tube down to Embankment, walked across the river (not literally, I used a bridge) and had a laugh at all the performers by the London Eye. Got to the festival and found out there was an hour and a half wait just to get in. So decided to carry on walking along the river. Stopped by a skate park for some drawing for a bit. Walked on to Tate Modern where I stopped for a swift pint, more drawing and watching some mountain bikers doing some trial type stuff which was ace. Carried on walking past London Bridge (where I saw the same bikers again) and then onto Tower Bridge and City Hall, where I was hoping to heckle Boris a little. Sadly he was not there

MONDAY- Was very sunny so grabbed my guitar and walked to Hampstead Heath. Found a tree to sit under and started playing. No more than five minutes had past when this old codger comes along, thursts a beer into my hand, whips out a mandolin and starts playing along with me!! AWESOME!!! We sat there under a tree for about 3 hours jamming to all sorts of folk songs and drinking beer. Never have I played the same three chords quite so much

So yeah, big weekend. Well done if you read it all!
